LG Prada 3.0 phone review

LG | Monday March 26 2012 11:06 am | Comments (0) Tags: , , ,

LG and design house Prada has a history of teaming up to come up with classy phones like their first collaboration which came out around the same time as the original iPhone featuring a slim footprint and a 2MP camera. The Prada II sport a QWERTY keyboard and a 5MP camera. The latest partnership between the two companies is their first attempt on an Android device. The new Prada phone comes with a 4.3-inch display, 8MP camera, and a processor with dual core. This phone has now rolled out in Korea and across Western Europe.

Hardware

The Prada design theme in collaboration with LG has done a good job for this Prada phone. The phone has a removable battery and with a plastic back cover but it feels solid. We can say that the Prada phone is better designed than the Optimus line of phones by LG. The attention put into the details like the metal buttons, cover of the USB port, the capacitive buttons, and the display makes the phone standout from the rest.

The 4.3 inch screen occupies the front plane of the phone together with the Prada branding and the 1.3MP camera. The back cover has the Saffiano pattern which forms part of the Prada branding, and somehow helps the user to keep the grip on the slim phone. The configuration of the buttons is still very LG using the 4-button arrangement, and we are curious how this will be updated in the future.

Overall the design is a bit too safe for a Prada LG collaboration in the time when attractive designs are coming up for smart phones. Perhaps they could have used more of the high end elements or a mental finish instead of the shiny paint job.

Software

The Prada 3.0 also makes use of its own interpretation of the Android environment. Users will still be very comfortable using the system as it has the same feel as the Android Gingerbread just without all the colors. The Prada 3.0 runs on Android 2.3.7 but can be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich in the near future. You will not fail to notice the line drawing icons plus some shades of grey for the notification bar. There are also built apps from LG for media streaming and options for the display.

Conclusion

Prada is Prada and it is a brand which can convince anyone. Add to the logo the specs which makes the phone worthy of your hard earned money.

LG LU2300One thing that I have noticed lately is that Android phones seem to be popping up everywhere.  Not only does every single carrier seem to have one Android phone but I have to say that the newest LG LU2300 is definitely one phone that I think I could see myself investing in.

This is the newest addition to the LG company and I have to say that this particular handset sports a heck of a lot of specs … and that is what we are going to go over.  For example a 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video support, Android 2.1 operating system, WiFi, GPS, and a digital TV tuner.

South Korea is going to be the first place that gets this phone but hopefully, it will move on over to the states soon enough!

LG-Lotus-Elite

Sprint is a phone company that I thought would die away many, many years ago but they just keep coming back strong and while I am not the biggest fan in the world of Sprint, I still think that this particular cell phone company holds some of the best phones out there – like the LG Lotus Elite.

This little mini phone as it looks is definitely popular and certainly one of those phones that people are constantly looking at and constantly looking to buy.  The reason has to be because it comes in so many different styles, colors and technology.

You want different?  The LG Lotus Elite is definitely the phone that is different and unique!

LG is one of those brands that does not just make cell phones – but when they put their mind to a cell phone, they definitely commit to it and that is exactly what they have done for the Korean market through the LG Whistle phone.  This beautiful handset comes in four different colors – as listed here and it is by far one of the most beautiful phones in the world.  Whether you want blue, white, pink or black, LG should have something just for you!

The other cool thing about the Whistle is the fact that it has 115 LED lights in it and on the front panel, the users can actually create their own emoticon’s.  Some other features include a car diary function and an automatic roaming service to about 18 other countries!

LG Viewty SmartIt is pretty obvious that LG is coming out with some pretty freakin’ awesome phones and the LG Viewty Smart is no exception at all!  This phone is actually going to be coming out in the UK this month and honestly, I think that it is definitely one of the best phones in the world!  The 3-inch touchscreen is absolutely incredible and it has 7.2MBP HSDPA connectivity.  The phone also features a 8MP digital camera which to me, is very, very important.
