Review Motorola Photon 4G

Motorola | Thursday September 15 2011 11:54 pm | Comments (0) Tags: , , ,

The first thing you will notice about the Photon 4G of Motorola is it seems lighter and thinner than how it looks. It looks like a good build that made use the right materials making this phone handsome for the market.

It comes at just 158 grams and 12.2 mm thick. The styling of the Photon 4G veered away from the squarish Droids by Motorola but instead went for curved lines without the corners and the hard edges. The 4.3 inch touch screen is protected by a two-tone coating similar to that of the Mileston XT720 extending to the housing of the mic and the four buttons below the display.

At the back, you will find the 8 MP camera, the LED flash, and the soft-touch plastic covering the battery. There is also secondary microphones and the Motorola emblem in silver. The camera button and the volume rocker are on the right side of the phone while the headphone jack and power key are on the top. On the left side, you get the micro US and micro HDMI connectors.

Specifications-wise, the Photon 4G comes equipped with the Tera 2 1GHz dual-core from NVIDIA, 1GB of RAM, an internal storage of 1GB and the capability to be used in 8 radios. The last feature makes it a true global phone. The call quality is of high standards.

The Photon 4G makes use of the Gingerbread with a Motorola skin. The overall setup makes everything go smoothly with the phone coming in with apps and widgets from Motorola to help the user link with social media networks.

The performance of this phone in terms of speed is quite impressive. The screen display is awesome. So far, this could be the best Motorola handset in the market today.

This is the newest addition to the LG company and I have to say that this particular handset sports a heck of a lot of specs … and that is what we are going to go over.  For example a 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video support, Android 2.1 operating system, WiFi, GPS, and a digital TV tuner.

South Korea is going to be the first place that gets this phone but hopefully, it will move on over to the states soon enough!

The Samsung E2120: It’s Another Samsung!

Samsung E2120Samsung, as I have said in previous blogs are like herpes – this company never seems to go away!  While herpes I am not a fan of, I am certainly a fan of Samsung and everything that this incredible company stands for.  While everyone in the world seems to be under a recession, it seems that the cell phone market is thriving because people have to have the latest and coolest cell phone … right?  I know that I do!  Even though … I don’t right at the moment.

However, let’s have a chat about the newest member of the Samsung family, the Samsung E2120.  This candybar phone is actually one of the coolest because of the impressive battery life that is attached to it.  Up to about 10 hours of talk time and up to about 559 hours of standby time is the estimation for the Samsung E2120.  This phone also looks cool, which is something that Samsung is known for … cool, technology-packed cell phones.

The display is about 1.52 inches, which is not the biggest, but it does have a normal keypad you know.  It also has a camera and about 9MB of internal memory, which is fantastic!

T-Mobile Shadow: It’s Incredible Looking!

shadow-2009-1

If there is one thing that I absolutely love about T-Mobile it is their selection of phones.  Take the T-Mobile Shadow for example.  This phone is one of the very first phones that are actually designed with a wheel-like navigation tool, which personally, I love!  I think that this phone is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and it is so easy to use!

You know how whenever you get a really high-tech phone and you think that it is going to be so easy to use and yet … when you try to work it is not easy at all?  This phone is not like that at all.  You actually have a slide out keypad as well, which personally, I think is so freakin’ futuristic, it’s insane.

So you are waiting for what again … this phone isn’t going to be around forever – remember that!
